Joe Colombo
Joe Colombo (Milan, 1930 - 1971) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and at Politecnico di Milano. In 1961 he abandoned the activity of sculptor and painter and opened a design studio. He is the author of several furnishing accessories, including plastic chairs for Kartell, tables, lamps and other objects. He was awarded the Compasso d'Oro twice: in 1967 and in 1970.
