A leading design company, founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli and now run by Claudio Luti, Kartell is one of the symbols of Italian design around the world. A success story told through an incredible series of products that have become domestic contemporary design icons.

The Museum 
The Kartell Museum

Established in 1999 on the occasion of the company’s fiftieth anniversary by President Claudio Luti with the aim of conserving, promoting and enhancing the company’s material and intangible cultural heritage.In 2000, the museum won the Guggenheim Business and Culture Award for the best company museum.
Its collections, always in progress, consist of more than 8,000 objects, 5,000 designs and 15,000 photographs

The on-going evolution in the use of plastics and experimentation with new technologies and processes are fundamental for Kartell, which has always strived to innovate its functional performance and the aesthetic qualities of its products. As a result of this on-going research, all-new properties have been introduced to plastic, such as satin-finish, transparency, flexibility, resistance to atmospheric agents, softness and touch, and surprising and special colours.

Masters Kartell
Masters Chair
The Masters chair is a powerful tribute to three symbolic chairs, re-read and re-interpreted by the creative genius of Starck. The unmistakable silhouettes of the "Series 7" by Arne Jacobsen, the "Tulip Armchair" by Eero Saarinen and the "Eiffel Chair" by Charles Eames are interwoven into a sinuous hybrid giving life to a fusion of original and engaging styles. The Masters is light, practical and stackable and can be used outdoors as well.

A veritable icon made by Kartell, the mass-tinted polypropylene Bubble Club sofa and armchair were pioneers of a new concept in furniture accessories: the industrial products made entirely of plastic. Technology and research made it possible for Kartell to mass produce what was traditionally handmade.

Louis Ghost 
A comfortable armchair in transparent and coloured polycarbonate in the Louis XV style, it is the quintessence of baroque revisited to dazzle, excite and captivate. Louis Ghost is the most daring example in the world of injected polycarbonate in a single mould. Louis Ghost is stable and durable, shock and weather resistant and can also be stacked six high.
Thalya
A contemporary remake of a classic chair, Thalya combines simplicity and strong graphic design. This transparent polycarbonate chair has sinuous, elegant, soft and almost feminine lines. Made using gas-injection technology, Thalya has rounded edges, hollow legs and a unique "reticular" pattern along the seat and backrest.
