The Bauhaus movement.

The Bauhaus movement started in 1919 when Staatliches Bauhaus, a German art school, was opened. They had a vision to bridge the gap between art and industry by combining crafts and fine arts.

Bauhaus-style furniture is known as simple and light without decorative additive, just following the needs of the consumer. Used are: steel, glass, bent wood, leathers and plastic.
