Philippe Starck
Born on January 18, 1949 in Paris, Philippe Starck is a French designer considered the top European one. He worked also as architect in Paris, New York and Tokyo).
Starck became very popular in 1982 when he followed the redesign and refurbishment of some rooms in the private apartments of President Mitterrand at the Elysée Palace. Apart from this work which led to several key interior design projects, Starck is known and esteemed at home and abroad for his qualities as a designer, an intelligent and self-made man, a poetic creator and an "enfant terrible" driven by high-level professionalism.
