Transforming ideas into designs and making items that can successfully interpret the requirements of the contemporary world, generating excitement at first sight. The Bonaldo collection expresses continuously developing modernity, a path that attributes value to the experimentation of new materials. Over eighty years of history, for creating items that become an individual memory.
Bonaldo was founded in 1936 by Giovanni Antonio Bonaldo, who decided to focus on metal-working applied to the furniture industry. Within decades Bonaldo has become a major benchmark in the design industry, not only Italian but global. The distinguishing feature of Bonaldo is its strong ties to the local area and Made in Italy excellence. Over the years Bonaldo has used very different materials (from wood to stone, glass to metal, marble to ceramics), and it has worked with several well-known designers such as Carlo Bartoli, Karim Rashid, Mauro Lipparini, Alain Gilles and Ryosuke Fukusada. Bonaldo is an awarded company: it was awarded with Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award and the Good Design Award.
April, May, June
A new concept of an object within an object, a range of shelving units with a strong personality. A bold design and innovative modularity. Not just a bookcase, but an object that lends itself to personal usage interpretations.
April, May and June can be used in combination with one another or individually, adapting to any interior décor to perfection. Both the frame and the shelves are made of matt painted metal available in a wide range of colours.
Dragonfly
The elegance of curves, the simplicity of one movement.
Indeed, a single gesture is required to turn this relaxing armchair, with its pleasantly evocative name, into a comfortable chaise longue. Dragonfly has a steel frame and a chromed, black nickel or painted matt black or white base; the padding is in polyurethane, while the fully-removable upholstery is in fabric, eco-leather or leather.
Tree
A domestic scene that gains in personality by virtue of the huge expressive value of a unique object that cannot go unnoticed. The Tree coat stand is made of coloured polyethylene; thanks to its resistance to atmospheric agents, it can also be used outdoors.
Day
Gino Carollo plays with the repetitiveness of metal wires to turn an everyday item into a sculptural element to put on display. The Day coat stand, which is made up of interwoven metal rods, catches the eye of the observer in an infinite path in pursuit of a point of departure and one of arrival.
Paraiso
The pure and simple silhouettes, in pursuit of elemental comfort and elegance. Paraiso, thanks to its well-balanced volumes, adapts to different sized settings in a host of different styles. The upholstery covers, which are available in fabric or leather, are fully removable. The feet are in painted or leather covered metal.
Arbor
The Arbor coffee table gathers influences both from the East and the West.
The base, which is in metal, is a stylised corolla made up of petals silhouettes supporting the table top.
Muffin
The familiar shape of the famous American cakes adds a touch of sweetness to every setting. Muffin can be used either as a coffee table or a seat. It has a batch-dyed polyethylene frame available in white, anthracite grey, red, dove-grey, green and bronze. The optional top is in white or anthracite grey painted metal.
Theduck
Theduck is a surreal and functional coffee table, an ironic and fun metaphor of an unusual pet. "The picture of a faithful duck sitting beside the sofa, with a coffee table balanced on its head, ready to hold remote controls, smartphones, books and magazines, was so absurd and unlikely to me that I was immediately won over", the fun comment by the designer Alessandro Busana. Thanks to the various colour options, the illuminated version and its eccentric nature, Theduck can be both bemusing and functional anywhere in the home, from the living room to the bathroom, the bedroom and even the garden.
Big Table
A game of balances, an optical path that leads from one element to the next, from one colour to the next; the tilt angle of the legs suggests dynamism, the linearity of the table top adds greater visual stability. Whether immobile or moving, Big Table really does have an unusual personality.
Art
The Art table is the expression of a clear and rational design intuition, like the geometric shape which inspired designer Gino Carollo. A metal trapezium develops diagonally under the table top, allowing minimum obstruction and optimising the space. To ensure stability, the trapezium is supplemented with two legs which can be customised with inserts in the same finish as the table top.
