A collection with a twist on the baroque Italian design

The seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries marked the Baroque period in Europe and the Americas. The period was characterized by a fluidity of design accented by a sense of drama. The architecture of the period departed from the traditionalist forms seen in Renaissance designs and moved towards grander structures with flowing, curving shapes. Baroque architects often incorporated landscape design with their plans and were responsible for many of the great gardens, plazas and courtyards of Italy.

Slide has been able to implement modern manufacturing tecniques to recreate that old feeling with a more comtemporary twist. Rotomoulding has been mastered by Slide, at first sight one may not notice that all the products you will see below are made in polyethylene. This collection is composed of sculptures made entirely within their factory, where artisans combine their know-how with modern manufactuing tecniques to create something unique, true to the Italian heritage.

Engineering, moulding, finishing, assembly and lacquering are strictly executed in the factories in Buccinasco, near Milan.
Low-density linear polyethylene is 100% recyclable and processed according to a zero-emission process, with focus environmental sustainability that sees Slide close to Non-profit associations that fight for the protection of our planet.

The Design of Love Collection

Lighting

Crown of Love: this lamp crowns all indoor areas with its majesty and irreverence. As the whole Design of Love Collection, the hanging lamp is rich in details, typical of Italian baroque style.

King of Love: its stem reminds of the baroque style, while the three bright white luminous lampshades are embellished with a classic texture to obtain a sophisticated, elegant and pleasing decor.

Madame of Love: an Italian baroque classic, the abat-jour, is reinterpreted in a pop and ironic style.

Seating

Queen of Love: is elegant, attractive, pop and unforgettable, for this reason it is often the protagonist of tv shows and international events.

Princess of Love: The arched legs and the richness of details match perfectly with polyethylene. Princess of Love is ideal for furnishing contemporary areas, with a touch of vintage and elegance.

Tables

Sir of Love: with its royal and majestic presence, the Sir of Love table turns every evening into a real black-tie event. Its four arched legs are rich in details, as the typical Italian baroque style.

Duke of Love: this is a low table with an ironic and pop design that reminds of the baroque and rich details style of the whole Design of Love collection.

Lord of Love: The table is elegant thanks to its mix of different materials: the base is in polyethylene, that reminds the pop, vintage and ironic style of the whole collection, while the white top is in HPL, that gives a touch of refinement to Lord of Love

Mirror of Love: gives a strong personality to every kind of anonymous indoor areas and every room become unforgettable. The mirror is available in different sizes

Pot of Love: is a versatile and multifunctional furnishing complement: it can be used as flowerpot, bottle rack or ice bucket. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor, for both private homes and contract.

Joker of Love: is a versatile and modular element that gives a touch of vintage irony to every space it fits. Joker Of Love can be used as a single module or can be combined with other modules to become a library, an open-space divider, or an office archive.
