In-es.artdesign, lighting is a form of art

Mixing art and design is an art in and of itself—and one that is difficult to pull off. Italian artist and designer Oçilunam founded In-es.artdesign in 2003 to make it happen. His interior accessories radiate pure creativity with an irresistible allure, balancing an interplay of light and shadow with immaculate colour and material contrasts.

These illuminating tones have garnered the designer international recognition, highlighting a unique mix of tension and clarity that pulls art and design into a beautifully coherent whole.

The lighting collections balance an interplay of light and shadow, with the use of color and material contrasts. The distinguishing trait of the collections’ lightings, is  the use of the material Nebulite, which is used alone, or in combination with other materials.

Nebulite, is a mix of resin and fibers, used in the Collection Luna to mimic the uneven, softly luminescent qualities of the moon’s surface. The Matt Lavagna Collection is characterized by blackboard effect resin, Matt Cemento by concrete effect varnish,  Trame by the use of wool, and Be.pop, the latest collection, by the use of rubber. 

The inspiration for this lamp's is drawn from a famous pasta the 'Cacio&Pepe' which inspired a cheese-grater shaped lamp part of their E.Pop collection to show their true Italian heritage. 
The selection of colors of these products has a strong urban connotation given by the neutral shades of the lamp, which contrast with the lively colors of the electrical wires.

H2O is a collection of lamps, made in Nebulite, a material that creates a special atmosphere through the refraction of warm light. They come is many different colors for both the inside and outside part of ther lamp, so the customization is endless and able to fit any necessity.

'Luce Liquida' are the Italian words for Liquid Light, which is the effect they were trying to achieve, a feeling of calmess by tricking the sight into not realizing that these are not vases or bottles. The result is stunning and of great visual impact.
