Panton by Vitra
Youth in rebellion. The first walk on the moon. Hippies in tie-dye. Woodstock. Rock and roll — the Beatles, the Rolling Stones. Politics, protests and picketing. These are just some of the things that come to mind when thinking of the 60's.
Well, they’re also associated with a specific home decor style. A 1960's living room looked different from a 1950's living room! It also looks very different from a contemporary one. That said, you can bring back styles of the 1960's with just some key products that we will showcase below. It can just be an accent piece reminescent of the 1960's placed in the right space to create a feeling of nostalgia and history.
The chair you see on top was designed by Verner Panton was one of the most influential figures in the development of design during the 1960s and ’70s. An icon with numerous prizes to its name, and still going strong today.

A reissue of a historic design by Gianfranco Frattini, Sesann is a collection of sofas and armchairs with soft, cosy forms that evoke feelings of warmth and sensuality, thanks to the tubular metal frame, which acts as an architectural structure, enveloping, containing and accentuating the cushioning. 4801 by Kartell
Yet, another iconic piece originally designed by Joe Colombo. Kartell pays homage to one of the most iconic pieces in its museum with its re-edition of the 4801 armchair, an authentic symbol of design in the '60s, and now much sought-after in auctions of modern historical pieces. Well-known also for being the only piece produced by Kartell made entirely of wood, the same product can be made using today's industrial technology to reproduce the curving sinuous lines of the piece.

Componibile by Kartell
Designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in 1969, these modular elements were designed to meet various needs and to fit into any room in your home: bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or living room. The design solution that animates the Modular system is the elementary and solid vertical overlapping of interlocking single pieces to create practical storage furniture. They can be found on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and at the Centre George Pompidou in Paris.

All Saints by Kartell
A more modern design, but with great inspiration from those years. The possibility of applying transparency even to gold and chrome, makes this mirror an extremely versatile and transformational design piece, suitable for use in contemporary and minimalist, or eccentric and anticonformist spaces.
