Vienna/S Chair - Black
The Vienna black chair, known also as Cesca or Breuer was conceived in 1929 and continues to be produced today, maintaining its place of better known cantilever chair.
The chair was designed following the inspiration of Marcel Breuer after seeing the exhibition of the Werkbund "Die Wohnung" in Stuttgart in 1927, in which were visible the Stam Chair, by Mart Stam, and the MR 10, of Mies Van Der Rohe.
They first created a chair with an elastic structure that excluded the need o free standing legs, starting from the back, going to support the seat and then down to the ground.
The Vienna chair is made has a chromed steel structure while the panels used for the backrest and seat are made of lacquered beech wood and curved with the interior framed with Vienna straw.
